Amanda Gunn has journeyed from South Carolina to Seattle, Florida to Boston and Disney to Denali in Alaska, she’s been across America. Cruising has been one of her choice ways to travel, having been on Royal Caribbean, Carnival and Disney.
With the Caribbean close to her home state of Alabama, getting to the major ports in the southeast was a breeze. She knows ports of call throughout the world. Amanda has walked the streets of Jamaica, Mexico, St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Whether shopping or snorkeling Amanda has experienced the thrill of it all.
Going beyond her home country and the Caribbean Amanda has traveled some of the remotest parts of the globe to the finest parts of Europe.
Paris was one of her first European stops after studying French in school. London, Rome, Monte Carlo, Moscow, Naples and Florence are all places she has fond memories, with Barcelona as a recent favorite. She’s even shopped in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey.
On the African continent she has been to Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. She’s seen first hand the beautiful Serengeti plains and the amazing wildlife Africa has to offer. She can tell you stories of elephants eating the trees outside her room at 2 am or the thrill of encountering a hippo on safari.
And to the Far East, she has experienced the awe of the Great Wall of China and walking through historic Tiananmen Square in Beijing.
As a mom, Amanda has first hand experience traveling domestically and internationally with small children. Most recently she and her husband traveled with the kids to the country of Belize on a great family vacation. So if you’re considering taking kids on your trip, Amanda has some pointers to make your voyage more enjoyable. Let Amanda chart the path and then you can enjoy the voyage! Bon Voyage!
